These uncertain times have caused many of us to acknowledge the need to make changes in our lives. Although change is not always easy, reflecting on your Divine purpose can provide the right mindset.
Author Anthony T. Hincks said, “Take your first step and you will walk before you know it.” Well, this may be the perfect time for you to take that step. Your move doesn’t need to be a giant leap — just a small action step forward to address the changes you want to make.
Having the proper mindset is critical. Positively affirm your intention, and when you are ready, forge forward in faith. I have two simple suggestions that may refresh your spirit and help light your path.
1. Begin journaling
Spend a few minutes each day reflecting on your strengths and the unique qualities that make you, you. Think of situations when you were called to use your genius and how your actions blessed someone else. After a few weeks of journaling, you may discover something surprising about yourself that you hadn’t noticed before. This many inspire you to initiate some meaningful shifts and to begin pursuing your higher purpose.
2. Read biographies about exceptional women
Book titles and articles about successful and influential women are plentiful, so you may want to narrow your search. For example, look for stories about women changemakers; women who profoundly impacted society later in life; women who triumphed over unimaginable odds; and women who have succeeded in a field that piques your interest. Begin your search online, ask at your local bookstore, or visit the reference desk at your public library.
These two suggestions may help clear your path and set you on an exciting course.
