Do you feel stuck and unfocused, wondering how to gain more from life? The fact that you’re experiencing these feelings may be an indication that something in your life needs to change.
If you’re thinking there’s got to be more to life than what you’re currently experiencing, perhaps you have not yet declared your calling—your Divine purpose.
Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” Well, this may be the perfect time for you to take that step. Your move doesn’t need to be a giant leap—just a small action forward to address your concerns.
Having the correct mindset is critical. Positively affirm your intention. Are you ready? Let’s go! I have two simple suggestions that may refresh your spirit and help light your path.
1. Begin journaling
Spend ten minutes each day reflecting on your strengths and the unique qualities that make you, you. What are your talents? Think of situations when you were called to use your genius and how your actions blessed someone else. After a few weeks of journaling, you may discover something surprising about yourself that you hadn’t noticed before. This many inspire you to initiate some meaningful changes in your life and to begin pursuing your higher purpose.
2. Read biographies about exceptional women
Book titles and articles about successful and influential women are plentiful, so narrow your search. For example, look for stories about women changemakers; women who profoundly impacted society later in life; women who triumphed over unimaginable odds; and women who have succeeded in a field that piques your interest. Begin your search online, ask at your local bookstore, or maybe visit the reference desk at your public library.
These two small steps may help you get unstuck from the muck and set you on an exciting course.
